Expansion of production facility: HANNO celebrates topping-out ceremony
HANNO - the specialist in 接缝密封 and sound insulation expands its facility in Laatzen near Hanover: The company will invest in total 5mio Euro in its new production extension. The construction of the building progresses quickly so that roofing ceremony could already be celebrated on March 22, 2019. With this investment Hanno expands its production capacity and secures the jobs at this site.
After inaugurating a new adhesive production line early 2019, the specialist in 接缝密封 and sound insulation now expands its production capacity at its factory premises in Laatzen. By autumn 2019 a new production building, a technical center for its application engineering and R&D, laboratories and offices will be constructed at the “Hanno-Ring” address.
Future-proof production facility
The core of the plant expansion will be the new 800 square meter (8,600 square feet) large production building: As from November a high-tech, 45m (150 foot) long impregnation line will be installed here, which can process raw foam rolls fully automatic to impregnated, self-adhering 接缝密封 log rolls. This will significantly strengthen HANNO’s core competences – adhesive manufacturing and foam impregnation – further: HANNO’s CEO Günter Krohn explains: “This investment in state-of-the-art equipment guarantees that we will be excellently positioned within our competitive environment. The expansion will significantly increase our production capacity and will push our market position for接缝密封胶带. In addition we can react more flexible to market developments and further optimize our high customer service orientation.”
Innovation center with production laboratory
In addition a new 1.000 square meter (10,800 square feet) technology center will be constructed with a modern innovation center, which combines the competence areas R&D and application engineering as well as laboratories. This will enable larger training events combining theory and practice.
Focus on energy efficiency
HANNO pays much attention to the energy efficiency of its new buildings. The office building will be constructed according to the highly environmentally friendly German KfW55 construction standard. Extensive thermal insulation, an aeration plant with heat recovery, the use of heat pumps and climate regulating ceilings will have an environmentally friendly effect by saving energy. Last but not least the expert will also use its own接缝密封胶带 for the window and door installation. In total 45% primary energy savings are expected in comparison with a traditional building.
„The topping-out ceremony was a milestone within the large-scale investment program, which has been approved by the shareholders and already started in 2018. The goal is to strengthen the company location significantly and to achieve a long-term employment security”, Krohn explains.
